# Polygon

## Overview

The Polygon shape layer allows you to create your own custom polygon and assign a height to its inner and outer edges, allowing you to create flat areas, craters or mountains.

## Hotkeys

| Affect whole shape at once | (SHIFT) |
| -------------------------- | -----------------------------------: |
| Add Node                   |                   SHIFT + Left Mouse |
| Move Node | (SHIFT) + Left Mouse on Node + Drag |
| Remove Node | (SHIFT) + CTRL + Right Mouse on Node |
| Rotate Shape               |                R + Left Mouse + Drag |

## Parameters

### Polygon Settings

* **Seed**\
  The Seed used in the layer.

* **Spline Smoothness**\
  Controls the number of steps for each spline, with a higher count producing a smoother and more rounded shape.

* **Surface Smoothness**\
  Rounds the curvature of the shape.

* **Corner Offset**\
  Rounds and shifts the shape outwards.

### Outside Settings

* **Height Offset**\
  Shifts the height of the polygon.

* **Outer Falloff**\
  Controls the outward falloff of the polygon.

* **Falloff Curve**\
  Adjusts the steepness of the outer falloff.

* **Noise Strength**\
  Adds noise into the outer falloff.

* **Noise Scale**\
  The scale of the added noise.

### Inside Settings

* **Height Offset**\
  Shifts the height of the inner influence area of the polygon.

* **Inside Falloff**\
  Controls the inward falloff of the polygon.

* **Falloff Curve**\
  Adjusts the steepness of the inner falloff.

* **Noise Strength**\
  Adds noise into the inner falloff.

* **Noise Scale**\
  The scale of the added noise.
