Polygon

Overview

The Polygon shape layer allows you to create your own custom polygon and assign a height to its inner and outer edges, allowing you to create flat areas, craters or mountains.

Hotkeys

Affect whole shape at once

(SHIFT)

Add Node

SHIFT + Left Mouse

Move Node

(SHIFT) + Left Mouse on Node + Drag

Remove Node

Parameters

Polygon Settings

  • Seed The Seed used in the layer.

  • Spline Smoothness Controls the number of steps for each spline, with a higher count producing a smoother and more rounded shape.

  • Surface Smoothness Rounds the curvature of the shape.

  • Corner Offset Rounds and shifts the shape outwards.

Outside Settings

  • Height Offset Shifts the height of the polygon.

  • Outer Falloff Controls the outward falloff of the polygon.

  • Falloff Curve Adjusts the steepness of the outer falloff.

  • Noise Strength Adds noise into the outer falloff.

  • Noise Scale The scale of the added noise.

Inside Settings

  • Height Offset Shifts the height of the inner influence area of the polygon.

  • Inside Falloff Controls the inward falloff of the polygon.

  • Falloff Curve Adjusts the steepness of the inner falloff.

  • Noise Strength Adds noise into the inner falloff.

  • Noise Scale The scale of the added noise.
