# Colorize Flows
To add even more nuance to our texturing we use one last highlight material. For that we add a [Color Material](broken://pages/WbyvJxK8eF3nSxsdmHmB) and apply a [Flow distribution](/reference/terrain/distributions/terrain/flow.md) to it. This simulates the flow of water down the terrain, resulting in nice streaks of sediment that break up the solid colors of the sand simulations.
